Tymoshenko will spurn Yushchenko’s decree to reverse Odesa-Brody, Olexandr Hudyma says

First, Hudyma argues, economic issues like Odesa-Brody is not Yushchenko’s turf. Second, the reversal will damage Ukraine’s interests.
“I have no doubt that the premier will tell us that the cabinet won’t endorse anti-Ukrainian decisions. What Yushchenko proposes will only mar the relations with Russia and won’t benefit Ukraine in any way because there is no oil and there are no customers,” Hudyma noted.
There are several reasons why the Odesa-Brody cannot be reversed, Hudyma says.
“There are no commercially significant oil supplies for Odesa-Brody. Also, there are no inked and publicized agreements on the extension of Odesa-Brody from Brody onwards to Europe where customers will buy it,” Hudyma stressed.
Recall that on May 13 President Yushchenko signed a decree instructing the cabinet to implement the project to create the Euro-Asian oil transport corridor based on the Odesa-Brody.
