Tymoshenko pledges support for foreign investors

At an Apr. 17 meeting with Nestle’s CEO Paul Bulke Premier Yulia Tymoshenko pledged all-round support for investors. She stressed the importance of attracting investments, expressing hope that foreign investors will increase their presence in Ukraine. Tymoshenko assured that her cabinet is doing everything possible to improve the investment climate in the country. Simplifying the permits and cutting their number is on the cabinet’s agenda, the premier said. For his part, Paul Bulke highly praised the cabinet’s track record in conditions of global recession. He said Nestle opened its operations in Ukraine in 1994 and has no plans to curtail them. Nestle has invested in Ukraine about hryvnia 2.5 billion, with hryvnia 286 million and hryvnia 36 million to be invested this year based on Torchin and Svitoch corporations. PrintComments
