“There was no pressure on Pynzenyk from the cabinet. He resigned due to extremely hard conditions caused by the world financial recession and unprecedented destructive anti-government activities by the president and his office,” the expert said.

Polokhalo believes the activities by the president and central bank leaders played a crucial role in Viktor Pynzenyks decision to resign.

The finance minister could not also withstand the burden of responsibility in the conditions of deep recession. “In his position we need a crisis manager, a person with the nerves of steel,” Polokhalo added.

He couldn’t name any candidates to take over from Pynzenyk, saying the issue has not been discussed by the BYUT faction yet.
