Lviv Commies threaten rough going for NATO troops at Poland-Ukraine border

According to ZIK sources, Ukrainian Communists party members plan to stage protests at Rava-Ruska border checkpoint July 11 against NATO troops arriving for Sea Breeze-2008 military exercise. Interviewed by ZIK, CP leader Oleksandr Holub said his party is ever ready to protest against NATO. However, he kept secret the place and size of the action tomorrow.“There are several options for our protest which we would like to keep secret fearing counteractions,” Holub said.

Sea Breeze-2008 military exercise is scheduled to take place in Odesa July 14-26.
Apr. 11, Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada passed the law “On Access in 2008 of Foreign Armed Forces to Ukraine to Participate in Multi-National Exercises in 2008.” Under the law, foreign military will be allowed to take part in 11 exercises in Ukraine and Ukraine military will take part in similar exercises outside Ukraine on 9 occasions.
Sea Breeze-2008 is expected to include military formations from 15 countries – Azerbaijan, Belgium, Armenia, UK, Greece, Georgia, Denmark, Canada, Latvia, Macedonia, Germany, USA, Turkey, France and Ukraine.
